Manukelana Art and Nursery are involved in the education of the rural population of the Dukuduku region in matters surrounding nature conservation and the sustainable use of natural resources within the Dukuduku Forest. Manukelana Art and Nursery manufacture arts and crafts from raw materials gathered within the Dukuduku Forest and sell these to raise funds for their ongoing educational and greening projects within the Elephant Coast and the Greater St. Lucia wetlands park. Manukelana Art and Nursery is a growing project which is involved in the greening of settlements and developing townships within the Elephant Coast and surrounding rural areas adjacent to the Greater St. Lucia wetlands park. Manukelana is working with ACT or African Conservation Trust who is funding some of these projects. Manukelana Art and Nursery have a small retail outlet on the R 608 just out side the town of St. Lucia where you may purchase indigenous plants grown in their Nursery, as well as Arts and Crafts manufactured from raw materials gathered from the Dukuduku forest in a sustainable manner. |
